At Zona Spine and Pain we utilize a multimodal approach to treat your pain.  We can help patients with any level of pain, regardless of how long they have been suffering with it.  Whether the pain is acute or chronic, we work to identify the cause, then reduce the intensity or stop the pain. Zona Spine and Pain specializes in an array of minimally invasive pain blocking techniques to treat various types of pain including headaches, neck pain, mid-back pain, lower back pain and other painful conditions.  Some of these techniques include, Interlaminar Epidural Steroid Injections, Transforaminal Epidural Steroid Injections,  Radiofrequency Ablation, Facet Joint Injections,  Medial Branch Blocks, Sympathetic Plexus Blocks, Trigger Joint Injections, Lidocaine Infusions  and Spinal Cord Stimulation, including High Frequency Spinal Cord Stimulation.

Your procedures will be done using the most up to date technology and equipment (fluoroscopy or ultrasound) in a safe and comfortable environment.

Also, you can be assured that your procedure will be performed by a board certified, experienced physician not a trainee as you may experience at other pain management practices.

Since pain can be multi-factorial at times, we work in association with primary care physicians, rheumatologists, neurologists, behavioral health clinicians, physical therapists, and surgeons, among other disciplines such as chiropractors, acupuncturists, massage therapists.

An Important Note On The Use Of Opioid Medications:

We do believe that some patients require opioids in their treatment plan.  However, we are also aware that over the past 20 years there has been an increase in the use of opioid pain medications for the treatment of pain.  This has lead to an increase in the rate of prescription drug addiction and overdose and death.  Even with the use of these opioids, pain related disabilities have continued to increase.  Zona Spine and Pain believes in responsible opioid prescribing practices.  We are registered with the Arizona Prescription Monitoring Program and utilize random urine drug testing for all patients that are prescribed opioids.  We take all measures to keep our patients safe from narcotic abuse/overdose.  Narcotics may not be prescribed to you on your first visit.
